D. Shim is a music producer, engineer, and creative entrepreneur. A Full Sail University Recording Arts graduate, he has worked with artists such as Tory Lanez, Kelly Rowland, Fredo Bang, Trick Daddy, Sukihana, Mike Smiff, and many more, while remaining deeply connected to the underground scene.

He is the founder of Vibe Out Studios, a leading South Florida recording space established in 2016. Beyond the studio, D. Shim releases instrumental beat albums on major streaming platforms, runs a type beat YouTube channel, hosts networking events, creates viral skits, and has appeared in films including Secret Society and Cuzo the Movie. In 2025, he joined the nonprofit Guitars Over Guns as a mentor, guiding middle and high school students and using music as a tool for growth and empowerment.
